The Krispy Kreme Experience! Melt-in-Your-Mouth Doughnut

I had a craving for Krispy Kreme honey glazed doughnuts and wanted to enjoy some at home!
So far, I think this recipe is the closest to KKD's version.

After the 2nd rising is completed, immediately fry them!
Glaze them first before you start enjoying your hot fluffy doughnuts!
If the dough is divided in 6 portions, the size of the doughnuts will be rather large. For regular sizes, divide the dough into 8 portions. Recipe by pogue

  13. 1 tspEgg white (or water)
  14. 2 tspHoney
  15. Strawberry chocolate flavor
  16. 80 gramsWhite chocolate
  17. 1 tbspStrawberry jam
  18. 1 tspMilk

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Add the ☆ ingredients first into the bread machine. Next, add the ★ingredients. Sprinkle the yeast on top of the pile of flour, so that the yeast doesn't touch the wet ingredients. (Or place the yeast in the automatic yeast distributing compartment.)

  2. 2

Press start on the "pizza dough cycle" (60 minutes) of your bread machine. Or start the "bread dough cycle" and take the dough out of the machine after 60 minutes.

  3. 3

Divide the dough into 6 or 8 portions, and smooth out the surface and shape into rounds. Place the dough seam side down, cover with a damp cloth, and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.

  4. 4

With the palm of your hands, deflate the dough and reshape the rounds. Open a hole in the middle by using the nozzle of a piping bag or something similar. Expand the hole by putting your fingers into the hole and shaping them into doughnuts.

  5. 5

You will need 6 to 8 sheets of parchment paper cut into 16 cm squares. Place the dough on each sheet. Keep the paper intact when you fry them, this is to preserve the doughnut shape.

  6. 6

Cover with a damp cloth, and allow the dough to rise at a warm temperature until approximately 15 cm diameter or one size larger (this is the 2nd rising stage). (Or you could use the proofing setting in a microwave for 20 minutes.)

  7. 7

Heat the oil to 180°C and gently place the dough in the oil with the parchment paper still attached on top. Remove the parchment paper and fry by sticking a chopstick inside the doughnut hole and constantly moving your chopstick in circular motion.

  8. 8

They will puff up, so fry the doughnuts in small quantities. ☆ When the doughnuts are golden brown, flip them over and fry the other side. When both sides are golden brown, take them out of the oil.

  9. 9

【How to make the glaze】Just mix all the ingredients. ♪ ※ Be careful not to add too much water! Although it might seem too stiff to mix with a spoon, this is the perfect consistency.

  10. 10

It will be easier to glaze, if you make your glaze in a shallow container or a dish. Dip one side of your doughnut into the icing while it is still hot, and done!

  11. 11

Strawberry flavored version: Place all your ingredients in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds. Melt, mix and done.
