Shred the crab sticks. With the frying pan on low heat, add the tofu and consomme and whisk until smooth.

Evenly mix in a small amount of flour at a time, taking care not to create lumps.

Add the crab sticks and mayonnaise to the mixture, and mix with a rubber spatula, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

Once it cools down a bit, separate the batter into 8 portions. Using plastic wrap, mold each portion into a patty and dredge in panko.

Heat olive oil in frying pan, and fry both sides of the patties on low-medium heat until golden brown.

Transfer to a serving dish and they're ready to serve.

While still hot (but cool enough to handle), spoon a bite-sized amount into a bowl of panko. Roll evenly in the panko while forming a ball, then shape the patties using your hands.
