Ingredients

  • --Chili-----
  • 2-1/2 poundground beef
  • 30 ounceslight kidney beans
  • 6 ouncetomato paste
  • 56 ouncestomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoonground cumin
  • 1 teaspoongranulated garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • -toppings optional-----
  • 1/4 cupsour cream per serving
  • 2 tablespoonsdiced jalapeno peppers
  • 1-1/2 tablespoonsraw white coarsly chopped onion
  • to tastechili powders

Steps

  1. 1

    Brown the beef and drain.

  2. 2

    Add spice and stir.

  3. 3

    Bring to a simmer and add sauce and paste.

  4. 4

    Simmer 15 minutes and add kidney beans.

  5. 5

    Simmer on low heat for 30-40 minutes stirring occasionally.

  6. 6

    Serve adding desired toppings.

  7. 7
