Cooking Instructions

Prep work-
Peel and cube potatoes into bite-size. Mince the onions. Slice bacon in fine strips - 2
In large pot put in potatoes and add water to cover. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium; cook, uncovered, 10-15 minutes or until tender. Drain, reserving 1 cup potato water

Cook bacon till it's a little crispy. Remove bacon. Sante onions in the bacon grease till brown and soft

In a large pot mix your ingredients minus your proteins and onions. Cook till thoroughly heated. Mix in remaining ingredients.

Serve hot with fixings of your choice

I can make this dish quickly whenever I want with canned clams, so it is very easy and economical.You can taste the strong flavor of wine, so if you do not like wine, use less of it. Usually there are no carrots in New England Clam Chowder, but I used them since I prefer the taste. The soup will be delicious if you add other vegetables you like such as corn.
