Lasagna is probably one of the oldest type of pasta. Here is my first attempt at it with everything homemade!

Lasagna is probably one of the oldest type of pasta. Here is my first attempt at it with everything homemade!

For lasagna sheets make medium soft dough by mixing flours, oil, salt and water. Rest for 30 mins.

Now roll this dough thin and cut in shape of your cake tin. These sheets will need to be dried under fan for 2 hours to make them stiff.

Now for white sauce, add butter in pan and add maida ; roast little. now gradually keep adding milk and stirring to avoid lumps. Now add herbs, chilli flakes,pepper and salt. Add cheese slice pieces once everything is mixed and stir till desired consistency is reached.

For red sauce, add butter in pan. Saute garlic and onion for sometime before adding tomato puree. Add chilli flakes, paprika,salt and cook well. Add tomato sauce at the end.

For vegetable mix, add butter+oil in kadhai. Saute garlic, ginger, onion and green chillies for sometime. Add all chopped vegetables with salt. Cook on high flame for 5mins so that the vegetables are crunchy. Add paneer cubes at the end. Now add chilli flakes, paprika and herbs and mix well.

All our ingredients are ready now. Let's prepare to assemble them.

Preheat a deep kadhai (10 mins) with salt in bottom.

Grease cake tin with oil. Spread red sauce in the bottom.

After this add one lasagna sheet.

Now spread a layer of red+white sauce.

Add an even layer of mixed vegetable over this.

Add a generous layer of slice and grated cube cheese over this. Sprinkle some herbs and Chilli Flakes over it.

This makes one layer of our lasagna. Repeat 2 more such layers.

Carefully add the cake tin in the pre heated kadhai. Bake on low flame for about 25-30 mins. top layer of cheese should be fully melted.

Cheesy Yummy lasagna is ready. Cut a slice very carefully to pick all layers of the lasagna.
