French Toast

I had sliced bread, eggs, and milk, so I made myself a snack.
I use bread from a 6-slice loaf. (2 cm thick slices).
It will burn easily, so adjust the level of heat as necessary.
Serve with maple syrup or honey.
It's also delicious made with baguettes! Recipe by Kumahachi

Steps
- 1
Cut the bread into four squares. Whisk the egg in a bowl. Add the sugar and milk, and mix well.
- 2
Heat a frying pan on medium heat, then add the butter so it coats the pan.
- 3
One at a time, soak each piece of bread in the egg mixture, place them in the pan, then reduce the heat to low to medium-low.
- 4
If there is any egg mixture remaining, pour it onto the bread (so it soaks in and penetrates the surface).
- 5
Flip over the first piece of bread that went into the frying pan, and if it's nicely browned, turn over the other pieces in the order they were placed in the pan.
- 6
When both sides are brown and crisp, they're ready to eat!
