Steps
- 1
Sieve the flour, add the salt and oil. Start kneading with water as required to make a soft dough. Keep it covered for 20 mins.
- 2
Till then, take the pan, add oil and chopped garlic. Saute till you get the aroma of garlic. Add cabbage and carrots, saute with salt and black pepper. Add soya sauce. Mix and keep aside.
- 3
To make the sauce, take another pan, add oil and garlic paste. Add red chilli paste, ketchup, soya sauce with little water. Put salt to taste and keep aside.
- 4
Let's come to our dough. Take the dough, make small lemon size balls and roll them like puri. Cut with any round cutter to make it even.
- 5
Fill with the stuffing in the center and start folding from one end till the end, leaving with a twist in the middle. Flatten with light hands to give a proper shape. Steam for 10 mins.
- 6
Take a fresh pan, add 1tsp oil with 1/2 tsp butter, let it melt and then add the momos. Pan fry on medium flame till bottom gets little crisp.
- 7
Take the kept aside sauce, warm and check it's consistency. Add water if required. Drop in the momos in the sauce and mix till the momos get nicely covered with the sauce. Add the vinegar, toss again and garnish with finely chopped spring onions or fresh coriander. Serve hot!
