I’ve tried the two versions of air fried fish, one with moist meat and the other, crispy. For Tilapia, I prefer the crispy version.

Ingredients

1-2 servings
  1. 1good sized Tilapia, gutted & cleaned
  2. 2-3kalamansi or use lemon
  3. as neededSalt
  4. as neededseasoning powder
  5. Cooking oil (spray)

Cooking Instructions

    Pat dry after cleaning the fish. With a knife, mark the fish with 3 slits as in the picture. This will help cook it to a crisp.

    Rub both sides with kalamansi juice and salt, including the inside of the head and opening

    Spray oil on both sides. Season with your choice of seasoning powder for fish.

    Pre heat the air fryer for 5 mins. Then cook the fish at 180C (or equiv F) for 10 minutes on each side. When u flip it, spray the fish skin with a little oil.

    Then incease the temp to 200C (or equiv F) and cook for an additional +/-10 mins, or to desired crispiness on each side, spraying a little oil when you flip. My AF temp doesnt get hot as quickly as other brands, yours might, so do check on your fish mid-way to keep it from burning.

    Rest on a rack before consuming. :) Enjoy with rice and a side of chili-kalamansi-soy sauce.
