Mixed fruit jam is the most popular type of jams which can be prepared using various fresh fruits. It is very easy to prepare jam at home and and it cannot be compared to store bought jam. Once you prepare it at home, you will never ever buy it again. It just tastes amazing! When we are preparing jam at home, we can control the quality of the fruits used as well as the amount of sugar according to our preference. Sugar crystals can also be used to replace refined sugar.
This jam can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container or a glass jar for a few months. It can be even used in different kind of desserts.

Ingredients

500 gm
  • 150 gramapple
  • 150 grampineapple
  • 100 gramorange pulp
  • 50 gramstrawberry
  • 50 gramfresh grapes
  • 400 gramsugar or sugar crystals
  • 2 tbsplemon juice

    Clean and wash all the fruits and cut them into big pieces. Add fruits to a mixer jar and grind it.

    Add prepared fruit pulp to a pot along with sugar and start cooking it on medium heat. Keep stirring frequently to avoid sticking at the bottom of the pot. When sugar dissolves completely, add lemon juice to it and give it a good stir.

    Keep cooking on medium heat until it reaches the consistency of a thick sauce. Now turn off the heat and let it cool down completely. It will become thicker after it cools down. If the consistency becomes so thick that it cannot be spreaded on a bread, then add just a little bit of water and reheat it to adjust the consistency.

    You can store the jam in an airtight container or a glass jar in the refrigerator for a few months. Just make sure to use a clean spoon each time so that it can last for a long time.

    Mixed fruit jam can be used with toast bread or to prepare jam sandwiches. It can be even used in different kind of desserts.
