Egg-Free & Microwave-Steamed Banana Bread for Baby Food

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

I started making this steamed bread for my 1 year old daughter. It was surprisingly easy to make, not hard, not too sweet, and not half-cooked. Out of all the recipes I have tried, this was the best.

Adding banana makes these mildly sweet and perfect for children!
You can use anything other than banana, but please adjust the sugar amount.
Make sure to combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder well so that no lumps form.
You can make a lot of this bread and store it in the freezer. Recipe by Kinoko

Steps

  1. 1

There are various silicone steamers out there but this is the one I use (I recommend using a container that has it's own lid!).

  2. 2

Mash the banana with a fork.

  3. 3

Put all of the ingredients, including the mashed banana, into a bowl and mix together.

  4. 4

To decrease dirty dishes, I combined everything into the silicone container.

  5. 5

Pour into the container and cover with a lid. Microwave for 4 minutes for 600 W.

  6. 6

Done! Please check to make sure it's completely cooked by poking with a toothpick.

  7. 7

Please slice into pieces and enjoy If you wait until it's cooled, it will cut easier!
