Oven-Baked Cajun-Spiced Potatoes, Jon Style

Cajun cuisine comes from the French-speaking Acadian people of Louisiana, who were deported from Canada by the English. Cajun seasoning is a blend of different spices and is quite spicy, but you can adjust the heat to your taste. All my recipes that use tablespoons, teaspoons, or cups are measured level unless otherwise specified.

Steps
- 1
Cajun Seasoning:
In a bowl, mix all the spices together. Store in a container and use as needed to season poultry, fish, beef, pork, soups, beans, vegetables, and more. - 2
Cut the potatoes into sticks and place them on a baking sheet.
Season the potatoes with the Cajun seasoning and drizzle with olive oil.
Bake the potatoes in a preheated oven at 450°F (232°C) for 30 minutes. Use a spatula to turn them over so they brown on the other side.
