These are similar to Prawn Nuggets that I have updated here on this lovely platform. The only difference being that it has Kashmiri Red Chilli powder along with the rest of the spices because of which they have a beautiful Red Colour. That's it. The entire recipe remains exactly the same. I have used fresh Shrimps in this one. Breadcrumbs are also homemade. You will definitely love this amazing texture. They are super crisp and juicy. Paprika powder can also be used instead of Red Chilli. But the colour may not be so bright. That's it. It's all about these beautiful looking Nuggets.

Ingredients

35 minutes
8 servings
  • 500 gmsShrimps fresh one's
  • 1 tspSalt or to taste
  • 1 tspCumin powder
  • 2 tspKashmiri Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tbspCornflour
  • For THE FLOUR SLURRY-
  • 1/2 cupAll-purpose Flour or Maida
  • 1 tspRed Chilli powder
  • For THE EGG COATING -
  • 2Eggs, beaten
  • FOR THE BREADCRUMBS COATING-
  • 2 cupsBreadcrumbs

Steps

35 minutes
  1. 1

    Marinate Shrimps with all the ingredients listed under it. Keep aside for an hour. Now dip each Prawn in the Flour slurry, then in the beaten Egg and finally coat them with the breadcrumbs before frying.

    Do not over crowd the kadai. Flour slurry should be a bit thick in consistency. Do not make it too watery or too thick.

    They will be cooked fast, so care should be taken whilst frying. Deep fry on a medium to high heat only. Serve them hot with Ketchup. Enjoy!
