Bael or Bel Or wood Apple Smoothie is the best drink to have in summers because of its health benefits and cooling properties. 
Bael is high in vitamin A , B1 , B2 , C , Potassium , Carbohydrate , Calcium , Protein and Fiber. With numerous health benefits Bael has medicinal properties as well . It is good for digestion and diabetic patients too. A ripe bale is a very fragrant fruit and the smoothie is really delicious.

Ingredients

3 people
  • 1ripe bale /WoodApple
  • 1 cupwater
  • 1 cupchilled milk
  • 2 tbsphoney
  • 2dates
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • For garnishing
  • 3-4mint leaves
  • 1 tspchia seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Break the shell of the bael fruit with a hammer into two. It is much like breaking a coconut shell. Scoop out the pulp with a spoon into a large bowl. Soak bael pulp in water fir 1 hour.

    Now use your fingers to strain the pulp in a bowl by strainer. squeeze out all the pulp which sticks to the seeds too.

    In a grinding jar add bale pulp, milk, honey, dates and salt blend all for 2 minutes. You can also add some ice cubes. Smoothie is ready.

    Serve chilled. Garnished it with mint leaves and chia seeds.
