Salty Sweet Potato Sticks

Autumn means sweet potatoes! Once I got tired of regular sweet potatoes and sweet potato pudding, I settled on this simple sweet potato stick.
The sugar should be about 4 to 6 tablespoons. Adjust accordingly. Recipe by pogue

Autumn means sweet potatoes! Once I got tired of regular sweet potatoes and sweet potato pudding, I settled on this simple sweet potato stick.

Julienne the sweet potato and fry in 160℃ oil slowly until crispy.

Once golden browned and crispy, remove and drain.

Add sugar, salt, and water to a pot and heat on low-medium heat. Simmer until it becomes creamy. Caution: be careful not to let the sugar caramelize.

Add the fried sweet potato to the pot and once you've mixed with the sauce, it's complete. It's delicious freshly fried! It's also delicious cooled and crunchy!
