Cured Ham, Mozzarella and Caper Bruschetta

I composed this recipe as finger food for dinner parties. Pairing wine with cheese in this easy to eat flavorful appetizer.

Prep ahead of time. Do step 2 and keep in a tupperware container. Keep olive oil seasoned with herbs, spices, or salt and pepper; it'll hold for a while. This goes great with a chilled dry white, medium body red, champagne, or aperitif. Recipe by HaradaKiTN

Ingredients

18 servings
  1. 100 gramsMozzarella
  2. 18 sliceCured ham
  3. 3 mediumsized Tomato
  4. 18leaves Fresh Basil
  5. 18pieces Capers
  6. 1Baguette
  7. 1sprig Fresh parsley

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Brush each slice of the baguette with your favorite oil (olive oil or margarine) and toast.

  2. 2

    Cut the mozzarella into pieces about the length of your pinky and wrap each piece with a slice of ham. Brushing on a little oil will add shine.

  3. 3

    On each slice of baguette, layer a slice of tomato, a basil leaf, and the mozzarella wrapped in ham. Top with capers and parsley.
