Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put the pork belly in a meat netting and brown the surface in a skillet.
- 2
Place the pork from Step 1 into a pressure cooker. Add the Japanese leek, ginger and the ☆ ingredients and close the lid. Cook under pressure for 15 minutes.
- 3
After the pressure is released, take out the Japanese leeks. When the sauce cools down, remove the solidified fat. It will be even more delicious if you leave it for more than a day so the taste soaks in.
- 4
If you marinate the soft-boiled eggs in the soup, they will be delicious too.
- 5
You can serve them on a big plate or use it as a ramen noodle toppings.

My Simmered Pork Recipe- Easy Char Siu in a Pressure Cooker My Simmered Pork Recipe- Easy Char Siu in a Pressure Cooker
I used a 2.5 liter pressure cooker. Storebought char siu pork has preservatives that I worry about, so I make my own instead. I poach the meat in sake to prevent it from becoming tough, and use as little soy sauce as possible in the seeping sauce.Brown the meat to seal in the juices. If you poke the meat several times with a skewer before putting in the bag, the sauce flavors will penetrate well. The flavors will blend easily if you put the bag with the meat in a bowl and turn it over occasionally. Supreme Chicken Char Siu Supreme Chicken Char Siu
-If you want to reuse the marinade, bring it to a boil again, and store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.-It's hard to get a hold of bone-in chicken breast in Japan, and it's a bother to de-bone it anyway, so I thought up this easy recipe.-It's great as an appetizer to eat with beer! Yummy!-Since the meat is salted before it's boiled, it loses its gaminess and the umami intensifies!-This is usually made with bone-in chicken, but this recipe uses boneless meat which is easier to deal with.-Since it's cooked while wrapped in plastic, the umami doesn't escape and the resulting char siu is moist and tender. For 4 to 5 servings. Recipe by Cooking S Papa cookpad.japan -

Easy, Juicy Tandoori-Style Char Siu Easy, Juicy Tandoori-Style Char Siu
This recipe came from a TV show about Mexican pork. The kids love it, and the spiciness is tempered by using pork instead of chicken. I developed this method to bake it so the fat renders, leaving behind only juicy, tender meat.Baking in an oven is the key here. It comes out really juicy. If possible, bake directly on a grill set above a pan to catch the drips while steaming the meat to make it even juicier. You can also fry it over a regular grill. Don't forget to cover with aluminum foil to prevent burning! Recipe by Toiroiro cookpad.japan -
Char Siu Pork And Simmered Eggs Char Siu Pork And Simmered Eggs
I watched my mother making this and just copied her, but she uses the pork shoulder (butt), maybe because of the calories? I, on the other hand, prefer to use pork belly. It's more convenient to divide the pork into small pieces before freezing. The char siu is already flavored well when it's done cooking, so you can take it out of the simmering liquid to cool. The eggs will be well flavored after marinating in the simmering liquid for an hour. Recipe by SKYDRIVE cookpad.japan -
Easy Microwave Chicken Char Siu Easy Microwave Chicken Char Siu
I like char siu and I wanted to try to make it with chicken. Also I wanted to make an easy recipe using a microwave. I am very satisfied that you can make this in just 10 minutes. You can use this as a topping for ramen. Nibble on it with drinks or enjoy it as the main course for dinner. While cooking in a microwave, it is key to turn over the chicken! By doing this the marinade is absorbed well and evenly The parchment paper circle in a bowl is important so don't forget it Leaving to stand overnight enhances the flavour. If you are in a hurry, let sit for at least 2 hours. You can make this with chicken breast but I prefer chicken thighs. Recipe by Toiroiro cookpad.japan
