Steps
- 1
Make the dough by mixing all the dough ingredients in large bowl. Knead the dough for 20-30mins.
- 2
Apply some oil to the dough and cover it.
Take out the dough out every 1 hour and knead to 5 - 10 mins, rest it. Repeat this process for 2-3 times. - 3
Cut the dough into small to medium sized balls and put them in muffin tray. Apply some oil and ghee to the dough balls and rest them for around 1 hour
- 4
Stretch the dough by hand or by rolling pin until thin and flat
- 5
Fold the fully stretched thin and flat dough length wise in halves until it becomes a folded single strip
- 6
Roll the folded strip into a circle and drizzle some oil/ghee and keep aside
- 7
Press the dough roll by gently flatten it with your fingers into circle. This is your raw roti.
- 8
Fry the raw roti on a flat pan on medium heat. Spread some oil or ghee
before turning over the roti and cook it on both side until golden brown. - 9
Put the cooked roti on a plate and squash the roti with the both hands.

Roti is ready to be served
