Ingredients

Half day :)
4 - 6 People
  1. Dough
  2. 4 CupsPlain All Purpose Flour
  3. 1 CupLuke warm water
  4. 2 tablespoonsMilk
  5. 2 tablespoonsmelted Butter
  6. 4 tablespoonsoil
  7. 1 tablespoonSugar
  8. 1 tablespoonSalt
  9. 1egg (Optional)
  10. Frying
  11. Oil or Ghee

Cooking Instructions

    Make the dough by mixing all the dough ingredients in large bowl. Knead the dough for 20-30mins.

    Apply some oil to the dough and cover it.
    Take out the dough out every 1 hour and knead to 5 - 10 mins, rest it. Repeat this process for 2-3 times.

    Cut the dough into small to medium sized balls and put them in muffin tray. Apply some oil and ghee to the dough balls and rest them for around 1 hour

    Stretch the dough by hand or by rolling pin until thin and flat

  5. 5

    Fold the fully stretched thin and flat dough length wise in halves until it becomes a folded single strip

    Roll the folded strip into a circle and drizzle some oil/ghee and keep aside

  7. 7

    Press the dough roll by gently flatten it with your fingers into circle. This is your raw roti.

  8. 8

    Fry the raw roti on a flat pan on medium heat. Spread some oil or ghee
    before turning over the roti and cook it on both side until golden brown.

    Put the cooked roti on a plate and squash the roti with the both hands.

  10. 10

    Roti is ready to be served
