Ingredients

1 hr or more
4-5 people
  • Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 tbspPeanut butter
  • 1 tbspHoney
  • 2 tspSesame oil
  • 2 tspRice vinegar
  • 1 &1/2 tsp Hot sauce
  • 4 tbspSoy sauce
  • 1/4 tspBlack pepper powder
  • 1 tspGarlic paste
  • Step 1
  • ½ kg Beef Julienne (Undercut only)
  • 3-4 tbspCorn Flour
  • 1/2 CupOil
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • Step 2
  • 3-4Dried Red Chilies OR Red Button Chillies
  • 2-3 tbspOil
  • 2 tbspDark Soya Sauce
  • 1 tspGinger chopped
  • 2-3 tbspHoisin Sauce
  • 2 tspBrown Sugar
  • 1 tspor salt to taste
  • 1/4 cupWater
  • 2 tbspGreen Onion (White part chopped)
  • 3 tbspGreen Onions Green part chopped
  • Slurry (Water ¼ Cup + 1 tbsp Corn Flour)
  • Sesame Seeds for Garnishing
  • ¼ tspBlack Pepper or to taste

Steps

    Coat the beef with corn flour & salt and leave it for 15-20 mins. Later stir fry in oil and set aside

  2. 2

    Heat the oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, chili buttons/dried chilies and spring onion white part and Stir for 1-2 min.

  3. 3

    Mix well and then add water, hoisin sauce, dark soya sauce and lastly brown sugar. Once well combined add the slurry and keep mixing with spatula/spoon till thickens. Add beef and mix

  4. 4

    Add green part of spring onion in last and give a last mix. Sprinkle sesame seeds

  5. 5

    Serve with rice of your choice OR with glass noodles.
    Homemade Hoisin Sauce

  6. 6

    Mix all the ingredients in a bowl with whisk.
    Use for recipe and reserve rest in fridge for next 1 week.
