Steps

Firstly, in a large kadai heat and splutter mustard,urad dal, chana dal, pinch of hing and few curry leaves.

Add 1 onion and saute well.
- 3
Further, add green chilli saute well,now add 2 tomatoes and saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy.

Add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt saute and cook for a minute.
- 5
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes to absorb all masala.
- 6
Finally serve tomato rice along with raita,chutney or pickle.
