Neer Dosa

#boxweek8
Neer Dosa or Water Dosa is a famous cuisine from Mangalore. I’ve tried my hands on it and loved the taste. I didn’t have it with Mutton or Prawns though I’ve heard it’s common to have it with. Instead, I enjoyed with Coriander Chutney.

Steps
- 1
In a bowl keep washed rice and then keep it soaked in water for 5 hrs.
- 2
Discard the water and add to a blender. Add adequate water to make a smooth paste.
- 3
Add salt and mix well. Now add 1/4 cup water in turns to make a watery consistency or Neer meaning water.
- 4
In a pan heat oil and smear the pan, run a kitchen towel over it. Pour a ladle and swirl the pan in a direction so that it spreads all sides.
- 5
Cover the pan, reduce the flame, and within 30-40 seconds the sides will leave the surface.
- 6
Fold the first half and then fold again. Set aside.
- 7
Plate and enjoy with a Coriander or Coconut Chutney.
