Tasty Candied Pacific Saury in a Frying Pan

I was able to buy saury for cheap, but they weren't in season so I tried candying them. My kids said it was delicious and ate it all up.
The longer you let it sit the more the flavor seeps in. Recipe by Mari mama

Steps
- 1
Gut the pacific saury, wash in water, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Add all of the ingredients to a frying pan, heat, and bring to a boil. Once it boils, cover with a lid, reduce to low heat, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 3
After 10 minutes use a spatula to turn the saury over. Replace the lid and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- 4
Stop the heat after 10 minutes and let it sit awhile. Warm it before eating, transfer to a serving plate, and top with the cooking liquid and it's complete.
