1medium red onion
2 cupswater
3 tbspred wine vinegar
2 tbspsugar
1 tspsalt

Steps

Cut onion in half lengthwise, then slice thinly crosswise

Add water, vinegar, sugar, and salt to a small saucepan and bring to a boil
3

Add onions and simmer about 3 minutes until crisp/ tender
4

Drain and cool
