Summer comes its mango season and I love to make different varieties of mango pickles. This is one type I learnt from my mother n lasts for whole year and very tasty. Typical Andhra pickle
Steps

Peel mangoes and cut into elongated pieces. Mix salt, turmeric and mango pieces and keep in a container cover it for 2days. 3rd day there will be water in it. Squeeze out all the water from mango pieces.

Spread a plastic sheet and dry mangoe pieces. Squeezed water also have to be dried. Sun dry for 2days. Depends on sun.

Dry roast mustard seeds and methi seeds and after cooling grind to powder. Take oil in a kadai heat it add mustard seeds n hing. Switch off and add chilli powder. Then once it is cool add to the extracted water container mix well and the add mango pieces mix well and cover it. Leave it for 1week. Then its ready to be served.
