Ingredients

5 minutes + soaking Sago for 8-9 hrs
4-5 serving
  1. 50 gmsSabudana / Tapioca
  2. 125 ml/ 1/2 cup water
  3. 30 ml / 2 tablespoons Milk
  4. 60 ml/ 1/4 cup Curd
  5. 1 tablespoonOil
  6. 1 teaspoonCumin seeds / Jeera
  7. 2 tablespoonsPomogranate
  8. 1/4 teaspoonAsafoetida / hing
  9. 1/2 teaspoonGinger
  10. 1Green chilli
  11. 1 teaspoonSalt
  12. 1 tablespoonCorriader leaves

Steps

5 minutes + soaking Sago for 8-9 hrs

    Wash and soak Sabudana in water for 8-9 hrs

  2. 2

    Remove excess water after it is soaked well.

    In a pan add oil, cumin let it splutter well add finely chopped ginger, green chillies, sabudana (soaked sago).

    Mix well. It takes 3- 5 minutes to cook sago. Just stir in every 1/2 minute. Add 1/2 tsp of salt and asafoetida/ hing mix well. Once sago is cooked it becomes transparent/ translucent. Allow it to cool down completely.

    Whisk curd, add milk mix well. Add 1/2 tsp of salt, cooked sago, Pomogranate, Corriader leaves and mix well. Curd Sago / Thayir Javarsi is ready to serve. Please do try and provide your comments.
