Vegan 'Meat' Sauce for Pasta

This pseudo-meat sauce pasta doesn't include animal products or sugar. Instead of using meat, you use koya tofu, which is easy to find. Prepare the minced koya tofu

The point is to carefully sauté the garlic and onion so you can take full advantage of its sweetness.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 200 mlMinced koya tofu
  2. 1 tbspOlive oil
  3. 1/2 tbspMinced garlic
  4. 100 mlMinced onion
  5. 200 mlCanned tomatoes
  6. 1Salt and pepper
  7. 2servings Pasta
  8. 1Minced parsley (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a frying pan and carefully sauté the mince garlic on low heat until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add the minced onion and continue carefully sautéing over low heat until sweetened and browned.

  3. 3

    Add the koya tofu and canned tomatoes. Then season with salt and pepper.

    Boil the pasta (remove from heat a minute before the cooking time).

  5. 5

    Add the boiled pasta to the tomato sauce and mix together for 1 minute. Then it's done.
