Ingredients

4 hours
  1. 2 canDiced tomatoes
  2. 1 canTomato sauce
  3. 1 canTomato paste
  4. 1 canCrushed tomatoes
  5. 1 boxAntanella's pasta sauce (tomatoes and basil)
  6. 1 largeOnion
  7. 2 tbspVegan margarine
  8. 2 canLentils
  9. 3 tbspParsley
  10. 2 tspGarlic spice mix
  11. 1 tspItaliano spice mix
  12. 1 tspOnion powder
  13. 1 tspDried red pepper powder
  14. 1 tspGarlic powder
  15. 1 tspSalt (or to taste)
  16. 1/2 tspGround black pepper
  17. 3Bay leaves
  18. 1/2 cupBrown sugar

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Heat up a small cooking pan and put the margarine in it. Dice the onion and drop in the pan, cook until browned.

    In a large crockpot, put all the cans (including lentils) and mix throughly with a wooden spoon.

    Add in the spices, salt and pepper, brown sugar and the cooked onions. Mix.

    Put the bay leaves on top. Cook on low heat for 4 hours.

    Add to your favorite pastas! You're done! Can be stored into your feezer for up to 6 months! :)
