Low Country Boil (with a Cajun flair!) Low Country Boil (with a Cajun flair!)
I'm a huge fan of Crawfish Boils and love when they are in season from April to early July. But during the rest of the year I really miss it and the Low Country Boil seems to tide me over until April comes again. But I make it taste a lot like a Cajun Crawfish Boil using the same spices and oils. It comes out spicy (as it should) and is very tasty. Leftovers are just as good! #mycookbook Boca de Fogo -

Cajun scallop chowder Cajun scallop chowder
This Cajun-inspired soup is a delicious alternative to your usual creamy chowder. The spice is warm and distinct but not overwhelming. Thanks to gimmesomeoven.com from whom I adapted the Cajun seasoning recipe. A little tip if using frozen scallops: to reduce any fishiness, defrost your scallops in a bowl of milk overnight in the fridge, then rinse them with cold water before cooking. Robert Gonzal -
Shrimp Boil Shrimp Boil
We have a great restaurant here in town that serves delicious shrimp and crab boil like you'd find in the south. However, they don't do it with potatoes, corn and sausage. So I figured why not try and make it. I don't know why I've never done it before. iricarodriguez -
Cajun style red beans and rice Cajun style red beans and rice
This is my husband's creation, he's made it for years. Now that I do all the cooking, I make it. I realize it's not an original recipe, only a twist on something pre-made, but it is still delicious either way! *For a non-spicy version use the Kielbasa and no Cajun seasoning, for a little bit of spice use the Andoullie. Also tastes great with chicken. theonlygirl013 -
Cajun Salmon w Succotash Cajun Salmon w Succotash
Cajun Salmon w Saccotash. I’m not really a fish eater, but this salmon dish was taught to me by Gordon Ramsey I don’t think mine is as good as his but it’s I tried I started with taking the salmon and then bending it then giving it 3 slits so that I get a crispy skin and then making sure my pan is nice and hot before I put my oil then put my salmon in actually my first time to cook salmon so you can tell when it’s time to flip the color will change from pink to white then flip then I added some fresh thyme and garlic to base tarragon would work as well. For the succotash I used red onion, minced garlic, green, red bell peppers, corn, zucchini , yellow squash, cilantro and lemon juice. This how it come out Christian Allarde -
