Ingredients

35-40mins
2 servings
  • 4big size potatoes(washed, boiled and peeled)
  • 3-4 tbsp Ghee or as required
  • 1/2 tspcardamon powder
  • 4 tbsp sugar(adjust as per your sweetness)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp dry fruits (almonds and cashews)

Steps

35-40mins
  1. 1

    Heat ghee in a pan. Add boiled and mashed potatoes to it.

    Cook on medium heat until potatoes are slightly browned. It will take approximately 10-15mins.

    Add milk,sugar and cardamon powder on low flame. Cook for 8-10mins.

  4. 4

    Add dry fruits and mix well. Aloo ka halwa/sheera is ready to serve. Serve hot.

    Note:- you can substitute the potatoes with sweet potatoes and can make the halwa with the same process.(shakarkandi halwa)
