Wash and peel the bottle gourd. Cut into desired shape and size. Boil the pieces in water for 5 to 7 minutes.

Heat oil in a kadai. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds n ajwainLet the cumin seeds and ajwain crackle.
Add ginger garlic-green chilli paste. n chopped onion.Saute it for a few seconds.

Now, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder. Saute it on low flame for few seconds. Add a little water to prevent masala from burning.Now add chopped tomato n salt.

Once the masala leaves the oil, add boiled lauki/bottle gourd. Mix well and cook for a minute and kasuri methi

Add beaten curd to it and mix well. Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.add garam masala also.

Add malai to it and turn off the flame.

Delicious 'Dahi Wali Lauki Ki Sabzi' is ready to be served.
