Sig's pickled grapes
I was given this recipe by my friend Greg. I absolutely love these. Absolutely live these especially at a party time .
Steps
- 1
Divide the grapes into 3 pint size jars with lids.
- 2
Pour the vinegar and water into a small saucepan, set it over a medium high heat
- 3
Add the salt, sugar, garlic, rosemary and chili flakes
- 4
When the mixture starts to simmer remove immediately from heat and divide the brine I to the 3 glasses, ensuring that the mixture covers the grapes, but leave about an inch of space between the liquid and the lid. Let this cool to room temperature, then cover tightly with a lid (or follow the instructions on your preserving jars)
- 5
Leave them to sit in the brine for at least one hour, they will keep for 2 weeks in the refrigerator, but you guess is that they will be eaten before then.
- 6
Serve these on their own, mix in salads, eat as snacks when enjoying a beer or toss them into a salad.
