Lemon and Herb Seasoned Cheese

I was experimenting with different ways of serving mozzarella cheese. I came up with this lemon and herb dressing and though it was delicious and perfect for the summer, so I posted it here.
Make sure you don't also scrape off the pith when zesting the lemon.
This recipe works particularly well with mozzarella cheese. If you are using feta cheese, you probably don't need to add salt. Recipe by Brandy
Lemon and Herb Seasoned Cheese
I was experimenting with different ways of serving mozzarella cheese. I came up with this lemon and herb dressing and though it was delicious and perfect for the summer, so I posted it here.

Cooking Instructions

Wash the lemon in hot water and zest. Squeeze the juice from half the lemon and set aside.

Using a pestle and mortar, crush the coriander, cardamom and black pepper. Add the peeled garlic, and crush.

Add the lemon juice and peel to the mortar, and mix in the olive oil a little at a time. Add the salt.

Arrange the sliced tomato and cheese on a plate, and pour on the lemon dressing. Sprinkle on the herbs to finish.

I heated olive oil in a frying pan, and fried chopped garlic and spices. Then, I added the lemon juice and a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar.

Another time, I added mustard seeds and fresh basil to marinate for 2 hours. I didn't add any garlic to this one.

Here it is served with grilled vegetables and cream cheese. This is great for the summer season.
