Beat the eggs with the sugar and lemon zest using an electric mixer or stand mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the oil, yogurt, crushed amaretti cookies, sifted flour mixed with baking powder, and mix everything well with a spatula. Finally, add the bananas (previously cut into pieces and tossed with lemon juice) and chocolate chips (reserve some chips to sprinkle on top).

Grease and flour a 9-inch (24 cm) round cake pan and pour in the batter. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 40 minutes.

Once baked, release the springform pan and let the cake cool. Dust with powdered sugar. Your cake is ready to serve!

P.S. You can substitute the bananas with plums or fresh figs, and swap the chocolate chips for golden raisins if you like.
