Italian Chicken Meatballs

I made the Italian version of my regular chicken meatballs.
Use any combination of ground chicken thigh and breast, or stick with one cut of meat.
Your meat patties will end up juicier if you just use thigh meat. If you just use breast meat, it'll turn out simple but a little tougher.
My family likes these with a higher ratio of thigh meat. Recipe by Mayu dish

Steps
- 1
Mince the lotus root (but not too finely). Chop up the green onions into small pieces. Finely mince the onion for the sauce and soak in water.
- 2
Put the ground chicken, lotus root, green onions, and seasonings in a bowl and mix well.
- 3
Make bite-sized balls, heat some oil (not listed) in a frying pan, and fry the meat balls.
- 4
While frying, pat dry the soaked onions with a paper towel. Mix with the ingredients to make the sauce.
- 5
Sauce If you don't have pesto, finely chop up some fresh basil or use store-bought basil pesto.
- 6
Or add minced garlic for fragrance. Add Tabasco to taste! It's great for adults who want that extra punch!
