Mix both dal and rajma wash thoroughly and soak overnight, pressure cook both, just adding 3 cups of water and turmeric powder, get 2whistles and simmer and get 7-8 whistles.. let it cool down..

Heat up a sauce pan add oil & ghee, add bay leaf, green chilli slit, cumin seeds let it splutter, add finely chopped onions saute it 3-4 minutes add in ginger chopped, garlic chopped saute it, add in all the masala powder give it a good mix, add chopped tomatoes cook on low flame until tomatoes becomes mushy

Now add cooked dal mixture, mix well add salt according your taste, cover the lid, cook on low flame until oil starts to release oil in the edges, add chopped coriander leaves, garnish with fresh cream and dollop of butter serve hot with roti/rice/paratha..enjoy
