These are famous Flour dumplings with curd and some selected spices and are a popular snack from Karnataka State and are also equally famous in Andhra and Telangana too. These are soft from inside and have a crunchy exterior.
These are absolutely yummy with Coconut Chutney alongside and with small pieces of fresh Coconut inside these Dumplings makes them so very extra special and yummylicious.
Though these are crisp from outside they are soft and spongy from inside.

These are actually perfect for a Breakfast too and are very gladly enjoyed by the people down South. These are best enjoyed even at Tea-time or Shaam ki Chai as a lovely Snack.
Just like Medu Vadas, these are absolutely delicious on a weekend morning for a sumptuous Breakfast.
I always do that for my family and friends especially on Sundays and special Holidays.

Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

Steps

35-40 minutes
  1. 1

Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

Make a thick batter using all. Set aside for 15 minutes. On a medium high heat, deep fry them dropping small balls few at a time in hot oil.

  3. 3

Wet your hands a little before dropping them in oil. Make medium sized dumplings as these will rise a little after frying. Deep fry them in batches usually on a low to medium flame but remember that the oil should be sizzling hot. Cook them well on both the sides until golden in colour. Serve them hot with Coconut chutney alongside.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
