This is traditional leftover recipe but for some people it is not... though I used leftover daal to make this recipe. You can prepare daal first, check at the end of recipe for the daal recipe if you do not want to make it with leftover daal.

Collect all ingredients together from dhokli section and bind them with some water. The dough should be medium soft. Give rest for some time. Roll it and cut it into a diamond shape. Keep it ready.

Take a broad and thick bottom pan. I used an earthen vessel. Add oil. Once the oil is hot, add mustard, asafoetida, and turmeric. Add daal. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it boil. Add peanuts too.

Once it is boiling, add dhokli. Continue to cook it for some more time. Add tamarind paste and jaggery. Once dhokli is cooked, it will be smooth and soft.

Once dhokli is cooked, switch off the flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. 🙂

Mix it well. Serve hot. Enjoy
