Leave butter and cream cheese out until room temperature (softened).

Beat butter, cream cheese and vanilla in a bowl with electric mixer until fluffy and smooth.

Gradually beat in confectioners sugar until smooth.

Store in refrigerator.

Will frost 24 cupcakes exactly.
