This is an Italian salad that makes use of bread that is getting hard and stale. The best way to serve this salad is about 30 mins or more after preparing. This is to enable the bread soak up all the juices and flavours of the salad.

Ingredients

15 minutes
  1. Bread
  2. Lettuce
  3. Black olives
  4. Green olives
  5. Sausage
  6. Cucumber
  7. Green apple
  8. Olive oil
  9. Italian salad dressing
  10. Salt and pepper to taste (optional)
  11. Vinegar (optional)

Cooking Instructions

15 minutes

    Toast your bread till golden brown. Cut in chunks.

    Grill or fry your sausage and cut into round shape.

  3. 3

    Cut your lettuce, dice apple and cucumber. Cut olives into rounds and remove the seed.

    Toss all ingredients together and drizzle with a little olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle a little vinegar(optional). Toss your salad

    Turn to a plate and add your Italian salad dressing or any salad dressing of your choice.

    Allow to rest for 30 mins or more so the bread soaks up all the juices and flavours
