Steak and mushroom pot pie Steak and mushroom pot pie
You know how sometimes ugly things can be beautiful'? Like pugs. Or Owen Wilson's nose (alright, maybe not beautiful, but chicks seem to dig him). Well, that applies to this pie, I think. Seriously, it took about 15 shots to get the half-decent photo attached to this recipe. This pie is rustic looking, no doubt. And no matter how hard you try to prevent it, the sauce always bubbles over and stains the crust. But none of that matters in the end, because this pie is also absolutely delicious. Succulent steak, hearty veg, and mouthwatering gravy are all hidden beneath flaky puff pastry. You could say this pie has internal beauty. Robert Gonzal -
Steak w/ Potato and Mushrooms Steak w/ Potato and Mushrooms
This steak was eyeballing me in the freezer, so I decided to do something with it. When I make dinner, I usually choose a meat and then build around it with what I have. Had potatoes and mushrooms, so I slapped this together and dressed it up a little bit. Karl -
Creamy Steak & Mushroom Rigatoni Creamy Steak & Mushroom Rigatoni
This was made with leftover steak we brought home from a new steakhouse we tried that was less than stellar (lesson learned, we're sticking to our "regular" place from now on lol). I didn't want to completely waste our money so I was just trying to figure out a way to salvage the mess we brought home using what I had on hand. This turned out pretty dang good, and using evaporated milk as a substitute for cream is always tasty (I do it often). You can definitely use fresh steak if you don't have any leftover from another meal, and it absolutely can be any cut you wish! StephieCanCook -

Looks like a lot of steps, but this meal is absolutely simple, quick to make, and full of flavor. My hubby's not a cube steak fan and THIS is how I finally got him to enjoy it! Tofu Steak With Mushroom Sauce Tofu Steak With Mushroom Sauce
I came up with this recipe as I was thinking of ways to make filling and satisfying dishes out of inexpensive tofu.If you drain off the excess water from the tofu very well, it will easily get nice and crispy. If you like spicy food, the mushroom sauce is also delicious with some doubanjiang spicy bean paste. For 4 servings. Recipe by kakopan cookpad.japan -

Japanese Hamburger Steak with Mushroom Sauce Japanese Hamburger Steak with Mushroom Sauce
I added lots of mushrooms to this basic hamburger recipe since it's fall, the season for mushrooms. It was intended for an adult palate, but my kids love this dish. When shaping the patties, don't make them too thin or press down with a spatula when cooking. It'll result in fluffy patties. Hamburger Steaks with Mushroom-Onion Gravy Hamburger Steaks with Mushroom-Onion Gravy
Back in the 1950s-60s we called this Salisbury steak. It's basically a meatloaf mixture (no ketchup) formed into patties served with a brown gravy. A retro dish the younger generation is unfamiliar with. Everything old is new again. Maggie Conlon
