Soak chana dal, garlic, red chilli, sombu for 2 hours.

Grind it coarsely without adding water.Then add chopped onion, chopped ginger, chopped green chilli, chopped curry leaves, chopped coriander leaves,hing powder and salt.Mix it well.

Then add chopped banana flower and mix it well without adding water.keep it aside for 5 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan.then take a small amount of banana flower batter and make it flat and put it in the oil.

Let it fry till it becomes golden brown..Now...the delicious Crispy valaipoo vadai is ready.

Serve it with coconut chutney.
