Ingredients

  1. 6Baby Corn (Slit lengthwise into two halves)
  2. 10-12Paneer Cubes
  3. 2Potatoes (Steamed) Cut into four Pieces
  4. For The Batter:
  5. 1/2 cupSelf Raising Flour/Maida
  6. 2 tbspCorn Flour
  7. 1 tbspGinger Garlic Paste
  8. 1 tspGreen Chilli Paste/Sauce
  9. 1 tbspChilli Flakes
  10. 1 tspBlack Pepper Powder
  11. to TasteSalt
  12. as required Water to make a thick batter
  13. as required Cooking Oil (For Frying)
  14. Sauces:
  15. 4 tbspSoy Sauce
  16. 4 tbspTomato Ketchup
  17. 2 tbspRed Chilli Sauce
  18. 2 tbspWhite Vinegar
  19. Corn Flour Slurry:
  20. 4 tspCorn Flour
  21. 8 tbspWater
  22. Other Ingredients:
  23. 3 tbspOlive Oil
  24. 2 tspGinger (Finely Chopped)
  25. 2 tspGarlic (Finely Chopped)
  26. 4-5Green Chillies (Chopped)
  27. 2Large Onion Part of Spring Onions
  28. HalfOnion (Cut into Cubes)
  29. HalfRed Bell Pepper (Cut into Cubes)
  30. HalfYellow Bell Pepper (Cut into Cubes)
  31. HalfGreen Bell Pepper (Cut into Cubes)
  32. 1 tspKashmiri Red Chilli Powder
  33. 1 tspBlack Pepper Powder
  34. 1 tbspSugar (Powdered)
  35. 2 tspRoasted Sesame Seeds
  36. to TasteSalt
  37. For Garnish:
  38. 2 tbspCoriander Leaves (Finely Chopped)
  39. 2 tbspGreens of Spring Onions (Finely Chopped)
  40. 1 tbspRoasted Sesame Seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    For preparing the batter, in a large mixing bowl, add the flour, chilli flakes, ginger garlic paste, green chilli paste/sauce, corn flour, black pepper powder and salt. Add water and mix until well combined. The paste should not be too thick or too thin.

    Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Dip the baby corn, paneer and potato in the prepared batter and fry till golden brown in color. Remove on a plate and set aside.

    Heat olive oil in a large pan on medium flame. Add the finely chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies and sauté for few seconds.

    Add the chopped white onion part of spring onions and sauté for a minute.

    Next add the cubed onion and all the three red, yellow and green bell peppers and sauté on high flame for a minute.

    Reduce the flame to low and add kashmiri red chilli powder, black pepper powder, powdered sugar, salt and sesame seeds and sauté for few seconds.

    In a small bowl add all the ingredients mentioned under “Sauces”. Mix well and add it to the pan. Sauté on low flame for about 2 to 3 minutes.

    In a small bowl add corn flour and water and mix well. Add it to the pan and mix it well.

    Now add all the fried paneer, baby corn and potatoes and toss until well combined. Cook on low flame for few minutes until the sauce is absorbed by the fried vegetables.

    Garnish with chopped greens of spring onions, roasted sesame seeds and chopped coriander leaves. Mix well and off the flame.

    Super Delicious Mouth Watering Mixed Veg Chilli Starter is ready. Serve it immediately as a starter or with other Indo Chinese dishes like fried rice or noodles.
