At Christmas I remember my mom with these cookies.

Preheat oven to 325..
Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, spices. - 2
Using hand or stand mixer, in separate bowl cream butter with sugar until fluffy. Add in molasses and egg until well combined. Gradually add in four mixture in increments, thoroughly combining between additions.

Roll walnut sized dough balls in sugar. Place on cookie sheet with parchment paper or nonstick mat. Bake @ 325 for 15 - 18 mins. Let cool before removing.
