Ingredients

  1. 1.5 lbsground beef
  2. 2 lbsground sausage
  3. 1 Tbspolive oil
  4. 1 Tbspminced garlic
  5. 1 TbspGarlic powder
  6. 2 tspOnion powder
  7. 1 tspSalt
  8. 1 tspground pepper
  9. 2 tsporegano
  10. 1 tspHerbs De Provence
  11. 14 ozricotta cheese (blended with 1 tsp basil, &.5 tsp garlic)
  12. Basil and garlic for ricotta not included in initial ingredients
  13. 4x 24 oz jars of tomato & basil pasta sauce
  14. 16 ozroasted red bell peppers
  15. 64 ozMozzarella Cheese (shredded)
  16. 24 ozlasagna noodles (cooked)

Cooking Instructions

    Heat olive oil and saute mined garlic in a 5 qt pot.

    Preheat oven to 300°F

  3. 3

    Add ground beef and ground sausage. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, oregano, & Herbs De Provence.

    Cook thoroughly.

    Blend roasted red bell pepper in food processor until smooth.

    Drain meat when cooked.

  7. 7

    Add pasta sauce and red bell pepper blend and simmer.

  8. 8

    While simmering, boil 4 qts water in a 5 qt pot. Cook lasagna noodles until tender.

    Add a layer of meat sauce to the bottom of a 15 13/16in x 11 5/16in 2 7/8in pan. It doesn't have to be perfect.

    Add a layer of lasagna noodles.

    Add another layer of meat sauce.

    Add a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.

    Add layer of lasagna noodles.

    Add layer of 1/2 ricotta cheese mixture.

    Add sauce layer.

    Add mozzarella layer.

    Add noodle layer.

    Add remaining ricotta mixture.

  19. 19

    Add sauce layer.

  20. 20

    Add mozzarella layer.

    Add final layer of lasagna noodles.

    Add remaining sauce.

    Add remaining shredded mozzarella cheese.

  24. 24

    Sprinkle with parsley and basil.

    Place in preheated oven and bake for 60 minutes.

    Adjust temperature to 350°F and bake for another 20 min or until top of lasagna is bubbling and the edges are a golden brown.

    Let sit for 15 minutes and serve.
