Steps

2 minutes
  1. 1

Add your gouchang paste (or any other sweet chilli paste or sauce of your choice) to a sealable jar. I use a mason jar but a regular large jam jar or tubberware works fine.

  2. 2

Add your Rominesco, pickled onions, tomato, peas and edemame.

  4. 4

Before opening your packet if noodles crush them into smaller pieces. This will ensure they can be compacted into the jar and get into every available space between the other ingredients.

  5. 5

Add your noodles into your jar. Closing and shaking it will help to move them into all the spaces. Depending on the size of your packet of noodles and the size of the jar will determine how many noodles you can get in your pot noodle. With a little shaking I got the full packet of noodles into my jar.

  6. 6

TIP- if the noodles are your favourite part I would suggest putting them in your jar first and adding less of the other ingredients to fit. I wanted mostly veg in this one so I tried to fit in as much as I could first.

  7. 7

Place the unopened sachet of spice that comes in the noodle packet on top and seal the jar. Place in the fridge for whenever you need it.

  8. 8

When ready to eat. (You can choose to empty the sachet of spice into your jar depending on taste) Top up the jar with boiling water from the kettle, close the lid loosely and stand for 3 minutes to allow noodles to swell. Enjoy.

  9. 9

I pre-cooked my Rominesco in advance as I am planning to try multiple ideas from one piece of veg. So I devided it into florets and lightly steamed it. Popped it in a container and store it in the fridge for when needed.
