Steps
- 1
Soak these Seeds in clean drinking water for a good four hours at least. Grind to a smooth paste later. Use some Milk to grind it as it takes a little time in getting to a smooth paste.
- 2
Next heat Ghee on a low flame. Add this paste to it. Cook until the raw smell nearly fades away. In the meantime, heat Milk with Sugar just until it dissolves. Add this to the Poppy Seeds paste that's cooking. Mix well. Also add some mixed Nuts of your choice as well as the Cardamom powder.
- 3
Continue cooking on a low to medium high heat. Keep stirring at regular intervals. Take care while doing so as it splashes a bit more. Do not hurry about it. It takes some time. After it starts to leave the sides of the pan, it means that it's done to perfection. Stir in some Mawa quickly into it and take it off the heat. Sugar can be adjusted accordingly. And use of Milk also is entirely one's own choice. You may skip it if desired. And can directly add Sugar to the pan.
- 4
Let it cool down a little before starting to make Laddoos. Shape into medium sized balls out of the mix. Serve them warm right away or even cold stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Enjoy them for a week, that is if at all they remain which is highly impossible. It's the most nutritious Laddoo ever that you can serve to your family. Children would love them as well. Enjoy!
