  • half cupDaal masoor: orange
  • half cupChana daal
  • half cupYellow dal
  • 1 tbsRed chili powder:
  • 1 tspSalt:
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder:
  • 2 tspchicken powder
  • 2 clovesGarlic:
  • 1 tbspCumin seed:
  • 20Curry leaves:
  • 2 cupsRice:
  • 4 tbspCooking Oil:

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix all daal,salt, red chili powder and turmeric n dashi powder with 2cups of water and bring to the boil.

  2. 2

    Cover and cook on low heat for 40 minutes, or until the lentils are very tender.

  3. 3

    Add more water if needed. In a separate pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil.add boiled dall n daal masala
    Cook well

    Add the rice and cook until tender. Drain the rice and return to the pot. Cover and keep on very low heat to dry up any remaining moisture.

  4. 4

    Tarkha

    In a separate pan, heat 4 tbsp oil, add the garlic, cumin seed and curry leaves. Fry for 1 minute and pour over the lentils. Serve with rice n shangrila achar, ♥️♥️❤️
