Vietnamese Grilled Chili Bread

Tried this at a Vietnamese pastry shop in San Jose and tried to recreate it at home. I believe it’s called “Banh mi nuong muoi ot”. It’s the perfect snack with an ice cold beer or boba!
Vietnamese Grilled Chili Bread
Tried this at a Vietnamese pastry shop in San Jose and tried to recreate it at home. I believe it’s called “Banh mi nuong muoi ot”. It’s the perfect snack with an ice cold beer or boba!
Steps
- 1
Toast up your bread
- 2
Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix your sugar, sriracha, and sambal. Microwave for 30 secs or until the sugar dissolves.
- 3
Chop up your bread into bite sized pieces. Add a little bit of butter.
- 4
Drizzle or shmear the sweet chili mixture on top
- 5
Then drizzle mayo (I like a lot) and top with the pork floss, green onions, and fried shallots. Enjoy!
