Steps
- 1
Every ingredients of this cookies must be on room temperature. Now take a bowl add the butter and sugar in it and beat it until light, fluffy and pale in colour. It takes around 12-13 minutes with electric hand blender. This is the base and the important step of the cookie. If this step is done perfectly then the cookies comes out awesome. Now sift the all-purpose flour, salt and baking powder and fold it.
- 2
Fold it gently upside down making sure that no dry ingredients left. Once done properly then add half of the roasted cumin seeds to it and mix again. Now keep it in a cling wrap or any container and cover it and keep it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes. Meanwhile preheat the oven at 180°C for 20 minutes then take out the cookie dough roll it like a log and cut it in 1/4 inch difference. You can cut it in desired shape and size.
- 3
Roll the balls between your palms and press it and give it a shape of a round cookie keeping in between your thumb and index finger. Then sprinkle some roasted cumin on top of every cookie. Now arrange it on the baking tray lined and greased with a gap so that it won't overlap while baking. Bake them on 180°C for 12-13 minutes. Don't over bake them else it will burn. Check for the time and temperature of your oven as every oven works differently.
- 4
Once done take out from the oven and immediately transfer it to the cooling rack. Enjoy with coffee or tea when cools down. You can store it for month in an airtight container on room temperature. Make it and enjoy it with your loved ones.
Happy baking
