Ingredients

  1. Pulled Pork Ingredients:
  2. Pork shoulder (about 1 1/3 pounds or 600 grams)
  3. Green onion pieces (about 1 tablespoon or 10 grams)
  4. Ginger slices (about 1 tablespoon or 10 grams)
  5. Chili pepper (about 1 tablespoon or 10 grams)
  6. Garlic (about 1 tablespoon or 10 grams)
  7. Star anise (2 pieces)
  8. Sichuan peppercorns (a pinch)
  9. Spicy bean paste (1 tablespoon)
  10. Soy sauce (3 tablespoons)
  11. Shaoxing wine (2 tablespoons)
  12. Ground pepper (a pinch)
  13. Rock sugar (1 tablespoon)
  14. Noodle Ingredients:
  15. Noodles (as needed)
  16. Shredded carrot (a pinch)
  17. Shredded cucumber (a pinch)
  18. Water (1 cup)

Cooking Instructions

    Place all the pulled pork ingredients into a rice cooker, mix well, and cook on the soup mode for about 2 hours.

    Remove the cooked pork, let it cool slightly, then put on gloves and shred the pork into pieces. The pulled pork is ready.

    In a skillet, add 1 cup of water and enough noodles for 2 servings, along with a pinch of shredded carrot. Bring to a boil until the noodles soften and the water is slightly reduced. Add the shredded cucumber and pulled pork, then drizzle with 2 tablespoons of pork sauce and mix well.
